Preference #22: Your daughter brings home her boyfriend (Part 1).

  • Dallas: "Dal, when Jade brings her boyfriend over, you need to be as civil as possible. Maybe you can even say as little as possible." You reminded your husband, taking his beer. "Hey, I was drinkin' that! I can't believe she's bringin' a boy over. Who said she could?! She's only 17!" He groaned, running a comb through his hair. You shook your head, chuckling; it was cute how Dally was being so overprotective. "We're here!" Your daughter's calm voice rang out like a soft bell; Dally always said that she presents herself like you, but has his temper when she saw something she didn't like. "I'm not sure they'll like me, babe." "Michael, they will. Mom, daddy! Meet my boyfriend, Michael Sawyer." You nearly dropped Dally's beer at the mention of the name. Word spread through Tulsa that Michael Sawyer was just like the "old" Dally; violent, tough, careless, intimidating. You composed yourself, and found Dally glaring at Michael already. Michael had an unlit cigarette hanging loosely in his mouth, and his arm around Jade's waist. His black hair was greased back, and his icy blue eyes were glaring back at Dally. He was very tall, lean, and handsome for his age. "Nice to meet you, Michael." You stuck your hand out for him to shake. "Likewise." He grinned, shaking your hand. You nudged Dally so he could do the same, and he reluctantly did. "I swear to God almighty, you hurt my little girl and I'll kill you. Y'dig?" "Dad!"
  • Steve: "So, Jerry, where do you work?" Steve asked your daughter's boyfriend, Jerry West. You, Steve, Jerry, and your daughter, Mallory, were sitting at the dinner table. Steve was doing the "mandatory interview" to see if he approved of the guy your daughter was dating. Jerry was a few inches taller than Mallory, but he wasn't too tall. He was really muscular, too. He had brown hair that wasn't greased back. He seemed like a total greaser, but he dressed according to the fact that he was meeting his girl's parents. You could tell that he was trying his hardest to please you both, and it was quite funny since you could tell that he had recently gotten a broken nose; you were good at noticing that because of how many times it happened with Steve. You found out from Mallory that Jerry was a straight-A student and that he was able to maintain those grades with a busy schedule. "Well, I work two jobs. I work during the day at my grandpa's repair shop. We fix up cars, give new paint jobs, all that jazz. Then I work during the night at a bakery on the same block as The Dingo. It may not be the finest area, but I'd anything to support who I love." Steve nodded; you could tell that he approved of Jerry's determination and pride; Steve claimed that he saw himself in Jerry, but you don't see it.
  • Ponyboy: "Hi there, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis. I'm Andy Porter." The lanky boy stood in front of you. He had took off his sunglasses, revealing his big hazel eyes, and hung them on the collar of his sweater. He had nearly perfect teeth and short blonde hair. He was obviously a Soc, but you were glad that Jessica wasn't going for a greaser; not many greasers were the best. Andy had a copy of "The Great Gatsby" in his hands. Andy put the book in his other hand to greet you both correctly. "Nice to meet you." Ponyboy said, shaking his hand; Pony wasn't keen on the fact that Jessica had a boyfriend now. Jessica was still his little girl. She'd always be. "'The Great Gatsby'? Nice choice." You smiled, pointing out the book in his hands. "You read a lot?" Pony asked him, his eyebrow cocked. "I do, actually. I'm planning on reading 'Gone With The Wind' when I'm done." "Really? Well, I have an old copy of it, feel free to use it when you'd like. Just be careful with it, gone through a lot." Ponyboy shrugged; it caught you off guard since he was being so collected. He was even offering the book he read to Johnny in the church! "Oh, really? Thank you, sir!" Andy gaped, his eyes shining brightly.

Preference #21: They hear you sing (Part 2).

  • A/N: *Ponyboy's preference sucks. I'm sorry. I ran out of ideas. :( xo - Sophie*
  • Johnny: You were hanging out in the lot, not particularly expecting anybody to join you. Night was just about to creep up on the skies of Tulsa. The beauty that is a sunset just passed, and then you heard footsteps racing closer towards you. You turned, and instantly stood up realizing that it was Johnny. "Johnny, what happened?!" You gasped, his eyes were glassed over as he tried to keep in his tears. "I - my parents, I can't take it no more, Y/N. I just can't!" He groaned, kicking a pebble. You could tell that he felt both angry and sad, so you just hugged him. "Lonely guitar, is there no one who loves us? Lonely guitar, not a soul seems to care. The stars in the sky look like teardrops because I've been crying." You quietly sang the words to Annette Funicello's "Lonely Guitar". His weeping soon subsided and he pulled away from the hug, looking at you with wide eyes. "Glory, Y/N," He breathed, not able to finish his sentence.
  • Steve: "I don't get it, what's so bad about racin'?! Soda does it, too!" "Steve, that's not what I said! I don't even care about what Soda can or can't do. I said that you should be more careful! I never said that there was anything bad about it." You tried to keep your voice leveled. "You're basically tellin' me to stop because you don't like it!" He yelled. "I never said that!" You gaped. "Yes, you did!" "You are so stubborn!" You yelled, running up to your room, closing the door on him. "Hey! Open the door!" Steve screamed, slamming his fist on it. "Calm down. Calm down." You told yourself. An old lullaby that your mother once sang to you came to your mind. "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy, when skies are grey. You'll never know dear, how much I love you, so please don't take my sunshine away." You sang and sang quietly to yourself, your voice growing a little louder. You just didn't realize that Steve stopped knocking, and that he was flat on the floor, trying to look inside the room through the space at the bottom of the door. "Oh, my." He whispered, wanting to hear you sing some more.
  • Darry: "My boyfriend's back, he's goin' to save my reputation. Hey-la, day-la, my boyfriend's back!" You sang out as you were making breakfast for you, Darry, Ponyboy, and Sodapop. You knew that Darry would wake up soon, and that Pony and Soda would be sleeping for long, so you sang quietly. You heard steps and a yawn in the hallway, and you smirked; one boy is up, two more to go. You continued the song, keeping your voice at the same level it was before. You felt arms wrap around your waist, and a kiss was placed onto your cheek. "Nice song! Your voice ain't too bad, either." Darry laughed. "Shut it! Sound travels, y'know!" You heard Sodapop yell. "Soda, shut up!" Ponyboy groaned.
  • Ponyboy: It was in music class. The teacher was trying to figure out who would be a soprano and who would be an alto. "Y/N, you're up next." The teacher gave you a comforting smile, and you sang some notes, just for the teacher to get an idea of your voice and how it would sound in different songs. You finished and the whole class clapped; only some people knew that you had a really strong voice, but now you were happy that more people heard you and that you weren't nervous about it at all. You sat back down in your seat, which was next to Ponyboy. "Y/N, I never knew you could sing like that! Why didn't I hear you ever before?!" He smiled, causing you to blush.

Preference #20: You play video games.

  • A/N: This is really new for me! Someone requested this and I'll try my best to write it! xo - Sophie
  • Ponyboy: "So, you just tilt the wheel like this?" Ponyboy asked. You nearly slammed your head into a wall; it wasn't that hard to understand! "Yeah, Pony, you do that." You sighed, finally taking the Mario Kart disc out of its box. "Don't blame me! I might even win first place." He huffed triumphantly. He ended up losing.
  • Sodapop: "Soda, how could you have possibly killed me?!" You gaped at him, nearly chucking the controller at his head. He just laughed at you. "Hey, it's not my fault you stink at Call Of Duty!" He laughed even harder now, clutching his stomach from laughing a little too much. "You know what, I'm leavin'." You hissed, obviously angry. You were the best at that game, how was he able to even come close to your score?! "Hey now, best two out of three?" He said, grabbing your hand and flashing you his signature grin.
  • Dally: "No, Y/N, you press A and then B!" Dally yelled at you, trying to stay alive in the game. "I'm no good at this, Jesus Christ! You kno- Dally, what did I do?!" You cried out, nearly about to give up. "Babe, you already died. You were lookin' at my screen the whole entire time. I hope you knew that." "Oh."
  • Two-Bit: "Doll, look what I found!" Two-Bit yelled, barging into your house. "What?" "Epic Mickey!" He sang, breaking the box open and sticking it into your Wii. "Turn on the controller!" He ordered, nearly peeing his pants of excitement. "Woah." You both sighed, looking at the graphics of the game before the starting menu even came up.
  • Darry: "And how come I haven't even heard of this game yet?!" He gasped, looking up at the item in your hand. You just bought Halo, and you decided to test it out with Darry. "Yup, I just bought it today. I don't get how you haven't heard, but that's okay." "I don't know why you're still standin' around, let's play!" You both ended up spending hours playing, until you finally finished the game.
  • Johnny: "Rock Band or Guitar Hero?" You asked Johnny, hoping he'd pick the latter. "Guitar Hero, why?" He responded as if it was the most obvious answer in the world. You punched the air in victory, and pulled out the video game and guitar-shaped controller out of the trunk of your parent's car. "No way, this is so cool!" He screamed out, clutching the items in his arms. "C'mon, I got the box fixed, let's go!" You giggled, grabbing his hand and running inside.
  • Steve: "Shoot that guy! No, not that one, the othe- Y/N, you're killin' me, literally!" Steve was yelling at you, trying to help you out, but he really wasn't being helpful. "Steve, how about you play for me?! I don't know how to do this!" You laughed helplessly, shaking your head and placing the controller on his lap. "No, no, no! Don't go! I promise not to yell at you." He grinned at you. You just shook your head and sat down defeatedly. "That's my girl. Okay, now press that button, move the joystick. No, babe, sto- oh, uh, kiddin'." He smiled a toothy smile at when he noticed that you were glaring up at him.

Preference #19: You both go on a trip.

  • Two-Bit: Now, let's be real here. Where else would Keith "Two-Bit" Mathews take you? You guessed it; Disneyland. You were happy to get the chance go on all of the rides, while he was nearly peeing his pants of excitement because he would get the chance to meet the one mouse that started it all.
  • Dallas: He took you to his home state, the famous New York. He may have lived there, but he apparently never lived close to Times Square. So, you two took the liberty in going on a little road trip all the way there. You both looked in the different stores and just took in the urban view of it all, something you'd rarely see in Tulsa.
  • Sodapop: You both went to Hollywood! With his good looks and your fashion sense, you both fit in just perfectly during your time there. California didn't have "Socs" or "greasers", they had people who knew how to entertain, and you saw a lot of them on every street.
  • Steve: He took you to New Jersey. With his cockiness and temper, it was as if he was a New Jersey native. You both went to the boardwalk and local fairs, looking for a way to make time pass.
  • Johnny: You both went to North Carolina. The scenery was absolutely amazing! The mountains were towering over you, causing your figures to both be extremely small. Once you both decided to hike up the mountains, you looked out and it was as if the world was endless.
  • Ponyboy: You two, of course because of your young age, were only able to go on a school field trip that was just considered a "real trip" because of where you were going. You two went to Kennedy Space Center in Florida, and you both were so interested by the massive rockets hanging inside the buildings and those outside for display.
  • Darry: You both decided to go to New Orleans. The music sounding out in the air was spectacular, and you two danced the nights away. The highlight of the evening was when the Sun was just hiding behind the buildings, soon passing the horizon.

This makes me giggle. A lot.

Preference #18: How they celebrate your birthday.

  • *A/N*: I'm sorry that this was a little late! This is for the anon who's birthday was yesterday, I believe. <3 xo - Sophie
  • Dally: He made sure that there were no other parties going on at Buck's, so he threw a huge party with the help of the rest of the gang, himself, Buck, Tim Shepard's gang, a few greaser girlfriends, and your good friends from school. Of course, he didn't invite your parents, because he knew how much they disliked him.
  • Sodapop: Sodapop was famous for his wonderful cooking, but could he live up to the test of cooking a dinner for you both? That's what he decided to find out as he cooked up some mashed potatoes and fried chicken. and he somehow didn't set the kitchen on fire!
  • Darry: He had set up two small parties for you, one with the whole gang and one with just you both and his brothers. It was real sweet, he brought out a large, freshly baked chocolate cake from the fridge, and you all devoured it in seconds. Darry even pushed some cake into your face, leaving a mess in the house and starting an all-out food fight.
  • Steve: He took you out to the Nightly Double so you two can see the new Disney movie that you were dying to see, 101 Dalmatians. He knew how you absolutely loved the whimsy of Disney films, and he couldn't help but chuckle once in a while because of how the movie interested you.
  • Ponyboy: You ended up being sick on your birthday, so Ponyboy visited you instead and bought you a copy of a new book you wanted. You were a little too sick to even hold the book right, so Ponyboy read to you, causing you to fall asleep instantly.
  • Two-Bit: He woke you up on an early Saturday morning to get your birthday started off just right, and that was by watching Mickey Mouse. Then, you both ended up just watching more television and watching even more cartoons. The day finally ended with some cuddling and chocolate cake, even a drink or two.
  • Johnny: You claimed to know how much he cared for you and loved you, but he would always prove you wrong by showing you how much he really did do all of those things. Of course, you knew that he was a little tight on money, but he surprised you by buying you a beautiful diamond necklace which you now wore all the time.

Preference #17: Going shopping (Part 1).

  • Dally: "Would you try this on, at least?" He groaned, and you didn't even bother to look at him. Throughout your whole entire time at the mall, he's been asking you to try on really revealing stuff, but you would decline instantly. "No, Dal. Stop it." You sighed, trying to look for something decent. "But you didn't even look at it!" He whined, stomping his foot and acting like a child. You just shook your head and looked up at what was in his hand; you instantly gasped. It was a beautiful red dress, short in the front but longer in the back, and strapless. "You see? Don't I have good taste?" He grinned at you, but you didn't listen. You snatched the dress from his hands and raced to the dressing room, closing the door quickly because you knew that Dally was on your tail, trying to sneak into the room with you.
  • Sodapop: "Y/N, look at this!" You heard Sodapop breath as you were looking around in the jewelry store. He insisted on buying you something for your birthday, but you didn't want him spending so much money on you. You walked over to see that he was pointing at a gorgeous sterling silver necklace with a heart pendant. The pendant had your birthstone in the middle of it, and you instantly fell in love. "Oh, Soda, it's beautiful." You whispered to him, and he just smiled. "You want it?" "No, babe, I can't let you spend so much on me." "But, you're my girl! I have to!" "No, you do-" "Sir, I'll be purchasing this!" He said, getting the attention of the clerk.
  • Johnny: "Y/N, look at that tuff jacket! Man, I don't think I got any money left. I spent it on a new blade." Johnny pointed at the jacket in the window. You just stared at him. "Y'know, if you want it, I can buy it for you." You offered, shrugging. He just looked at you, totally shocked. "No, princess, I can't -" "It's fine, Johnny. My folks just gave me my allowance yesterday, and I already got everythin' I need. You can pay me back anytime." You said, dragging him into the store and ignoring his protests. You made him try on the jacket; it was a perfect fit. Not to expensive, either. You both walked out with smiles, a new jacket, and change in your pocket.
  • Ponyboy: "What about this? It seems pretty interesting." You guessed as you looked through endless shelves of books, pointing a thick book out. "Y/N, I already read that book a few years ago." He sighed, bringing your hand away from all the books, because you were horrible at choosing. "Well, how about you tell me what book you want. I need to get you a birthday present, anyway." You huffed. He just chuckled. "You know what I want, but don't need?" Okay, fine; I want a new book. But I got something even better." He said, wrapping his arms around you. "What?" You smiled, knowing where this was going. "I got a girl who cares." He said, kissing your forehead.

Preference #16: They run into your ex-boyfriend.

  • Johnny: You were busy, so Johnny decided to hang out with Ponyboy. They were walking around, but Johnny stopped in his tracks when he saw your ex-boyfriend and his friends on the next block. Your ex was a greaser like Johnny, but Johnny was afraid of him, because he was muscular, strong, and a jerk. Johnny never really understood why you chose him over your ex, but he didn't complain.
  • Dally: It was during a rumble, greasers versus Socs. Everybody was taking part in the face-off; it was like a final showdown that you would see in an action movie. Dally was there, and so was your idiot ex; your ex-boyfriend was a Soc. You broke up with him because he cheated on you, and Dally was there for you during the break-up. Dally walked up to him and glared. "You the guy who cheated on Y/N?" He asked in his heavy accent. "Yeah, what's it to you? Never did like 'er, anyway, only 'er bod-." Your ex replied, but never finished talking. Dally socked him instantly, and an all-out war started.
  • Sodapop: "And then the pancakes burned! I made green pancakes for nothin'! I spent so much ti- Y/N? You there?" He joked, waving his hand in front of your face. But you just sat there, not paying attention to Sodapop, at The Dingo while staring at who was just outside the door. "Oh, God, no." You groaned as you hid your face in your hands, sinking into your seat. "What's wrong? Is it so-" Sodapop said, turning around to see what you were looking at, until you interrupted him. "No! Stop looking! It's my ex, he's here!" You hissed, pulling him back down. "Wow, he has a weird nose. What were you doin' with that guy?!" He asked you, gaping. "There's a reason why he's my ex, Soda." You reminded him, taking a sip out of your chocolate shake.
  • Steve: You made Steve go with you to the hospital because he broke his hand from punching some guy in the face. "I can't believe you punched someone, you're the one who usually gets punched!" You laughed when he snapped his head up to look at you. "Hey! That ain't funny!" He pouted. "It is to me." You said, kissing his cheek, then walking through the hospital entrance. "Hey, what's the big idea, pal?! Wasn't a punch enough?" You heard Steve yell as you were talking to the receptionist. "Well, I have a black eye, thanks to you!" You heard an all-too-familiar voice yell back. It was your ex-boyfriend. "Stevie, you punched him?! That's my ex-boyfriend! Good job!" You yelled, glaring at your ex-boyfriend who was gaping at you. Steve just smiled widely, because he knew that he sure did a good job.
  • Darry: You two were grocery-shopping, so you both split up and went to different isles. You reached the isle where the cake mix would be, and you noticed that there was only one more box left of vanilla cake mix, your favorite. You reached for it, but you froze when you heard someone's footsteps. "Is that the same thing you ate when I 'broke your heart'?" You heard the annoying voice of your ex. You cringed and turned around. "When 'you' broke my heart? Honey, I dumped you. Havin' fun with that broad?" You scoffed, taking your attention away from him. "No. I dumped 'er; I'm actually lookin' for someone else." He whispered, getting close to you. "Step away from her before I punch your face in." You heard Darry snarl. Your ex's eyes went wide when he saw Darry, and he was gone in a few seconds. "Thanks, Superman." You breathed. "You're welcome, darlin'. But, why did you go for the losers?" Darry asked, dumbfounded while putting his favorite soda into the cart.
  • Ponyboy: He was sitting in the back of the room in Science class, and you were sitting in the front. Sadly, you two weren't partners, so you both weren't able to talk to each other in class. Even worse, your ex-boyfriend sat at the table in front of Ponyboy, but the actual seat next in front of Pony was empty. "Y/N, I'm going to ask you to move seats today. Please move to the seat in front of Ponyboy." Your teacher drawled, and you felt yourself go pale. Your teacher had to be joking. You grabbed your things and moved to where your teacher told you to sit. In reality, there was no bad blood between you and your ex; you both mutually ended things. You just felt a little awkward. Your ex just smiled at you, and you managed to smile back, but Pony noticed your discomfort and kept a close eye on you both. Nobody was allowed to fool around with you, bad blood or not; you were Pony's girl, no one else's.
  • Two-Bit: You saw your ex drinking a beer, talking to some random kids. "Uh, Two, I need to tell you somethin'." You squeaked, nervously playing with the hem of your skirt. "What is it, sweetie?" He asked, walking with you on the way to a party. "Okay, my ex is here at this party, so stay away from him! I don't want drama, this party can't be ruined by tension. Oh no, he's there!" You rushed, not pausing for any breaths. He just stared at you. "Okay." He shrugged, and you were left in shock. You didn't ask anymore questions, and time flew by. You both decided to have a beer, and he went to the bar to get the bottles. You thought he'd be quick, but it took forever. He finally came, a smile on his face, and handed you the beer. "What was the hold-up?" You casually asked. "Oh, nothin'. I was gettin' a few beers and a guy complimented my jacket. He's sittin' righ' over there!" Two-Bit pointed to the guy, and you nearly spit out your beer. It was your ex, waving at you with a big grin.

Preference #15: You're scared (Part 2).

  • Ponyboy: "Ponyboy, why'd you pick this one?!" You hissed as you faced the opposite of the big screen in the movie theater. Ponyboy told you he got tickets for a comedy; but, he lied. You were currently hiding behind your boyfriend, hearing the screams and splashes of blood from a horror movie. "Well, I thought you were goin' to cuddle with me, since girls do that durin' scary movies." He shrugged, taking a sip of your Coca-Cola.
  • Darry: You were sick and home alone, so there wasn't much to keep yourself entertained. Everything was boringly quiet, until you heard the frightening sound of something shattering. You froze, but got enough sense to run and hide in the closet. Then, you heard somebody rummaging through a few things downstairs, the burning of rubber in the driveway, and yelling being exchanged. The yelling soon ceased with a punch so loud that the whole neighborhood could hear it. "Baby? Y/N?! Where are you?!" You heard Darry scream as his footsteps became louder. "In here!" You squeaked, and the closet door was nearly came off of the hinges. "Thank God you're safe, someone broke in. Are you okay?!" He frantically said, giving you the biggest hug ever. "I'm fine, you?" You coughed, then continuing. "I heard a punch." You recalled. "Now, who d'you think threw it?" He smiled, kissing your cheek and hugging you again.
  • Steve: You had no school, so you were helping Steve at the DX. "Doll, go back inside and get me a Coke, please?" He asked, glancing up at you from under the car's hood. You nodded, and walked inside. You searched and searched, but stopped when you felt an unfamiliar hand on your waist. You turned to see who the wise-guy was. It was some Soc, and you just rolled your eyes, cringing. He had an smirk on his face that could put even Dally to shame, but it was scary. "Hi, doll." He whispered, but you shook his hand off. "Only my boyfriend calls me 'doll'." You hissed, but you just angered him. "I call you wh-" "Hey! Get your hands off o' her!" Steve yelled, and you knew he'd take care of it.
  • Johnny: You both were in the lot, gazing up at the stars. "Sure is beautiful, huh?" He whispered. "Yeah." You said simply, at a loss for words. "Hey, is that a shooting star? Look at i- oh my God!" You suddenly yelled, and you both got up with a jolt. "What the - what happened, Y/N?!" He panicked, while you looked straight into the bushes. "There's somethin' in there." You pointed, when you heard the leaves rustle. "You sure? Well, let's go." He said, and you both jogged to your house. There were so many possibilities as to what it could have been; a rabid dog, a poisonous snake, even a person! But, it turned out to be a bunny.
