You go on your first date with Dally, but your date gets ruined by Socs.

The night was finally here; this was the night that you were going on your first date with Dallas Winston. You were both excited and nervous; you were nervous because all of your friends had told you repeatedly that he was a player, but you were excited because you never thought that you would go out with a guy like him.

You got your clothes and makeup ready; you decided to wear a light purple dress ending a good two inches above your knees, a pair of flats, and a leather jacket that you were “borrowing” from your brother. You also decided to use a little bit of mascara and eyeliner; you didn’t need any lipstick because your lips already had a rosy tint to them.

The minute you finished putting your hair into a high ponytail, you heard someone knocking on the front door. You nearly tripped going down the stairs because of how fast you ran. You opened the door before your mother could, and saw Dallas standing there, with a playful grin on his face.

“Hi, Dallas.” You smiled at him, not trying to seem eager. “Hey, princess.” He said, holding out his hand so you can take it. “Don’t come back too late!” Your mom yelled from the kitchen as you shut the door; thank God your dad wasn’t home, because he would’ve blown a fuse if he saw Dallas Winston at his front door.

“You look real cute, Y/N. Nice leather jacket you got there, too.” He said, looking down at you. There was a height difference of a few inches, so you kind of had to crane your neck to look him in the eyes.

“Thanks; you don’t look too bad yourself,” You blushed, before continuing to speak again. “Hey, where are we goin’?” You finished, as he lit up a cancer stick, but he made sure that the smoke didn’t hit you. The smell of your leather jacket, his leather jacket, your flowery perfume, and his strong cologne masked the smell of the smoke.

“Well, I was hopin’ to take you to The Dingo, or maybe even the Nightly Double if The Dingo is too full. Nothin’ too fancy. What do you want to do, doll?” He said, wrapping his arm around you.

“Goin’ to The Dingo would be pretty cool.” You replied, shrugging. As long as Dallas was there to keep you safe, you didn’t care if he took you to the lot for your first date. “Alrigh’, let’s go!” He laughed, and you sped up so he wouldn’t go too far ahead of you.

You both were a block away, but you heard some steps behind you. The problem was that those footsteps didn’t belong to Dally. You stopped walking instantly, and Dally looked at you in confusion. “What’s wrong?” He asked, noticeably becoming more alert with every breath he took.

“I heard footsteps.” You said, blanching. “Oh, I didn’t hear nothin’.” He shrugged, but his head snapped up when he heard a gruff voice. You both turned around to see three drunk Socs. You whimpered in fright.

`“Dal, we should go now.” You hissed. “No, that’ll make things worse. Stay behind me and run as fast as you can when I tell you to. Got it?” He whispered back at you. “You should listen to your broad, Winston.” The gruff voice said, followed by two others laughing.

“She ain’t my broad,” he stood in front of you and continued talking, “she’s my girl. Don’t you even think about touching her.” He snarled.

“But you thought it was a good idea to slash my tires. Now, I think it’s a real swell idea if I slash your girl. Get ‘er!” The Soc yelled to his friends, who made a run for you while the main Soc socked Dally.

“Dally!” You yelled out as he fell to the floor, but shot right back up again. “Don’t worry, darling.” The Soc holding your left arm said. “We’ll have a real fun time all on our own.” The other Soc laughed, his grip on your waist tightening.

“Help, please!” You cried as you still saw Dally and that other Soc fighting. A hand clasped over your mouth, and you saw one of the attackers holding a switchblade near you. You shook and shook, desperately trying to break free and run for Dally, but an ultimate weight was suddenly lifted off of you after what felt like an infinite nightmare.

You opened your eyes to see Dally taking on all three Socs; the Socs were drunk, so he took care of them easily. Punches were thrown and kicks were sent their way, and the Socs got the message that they weren’t going to win this time. They ran back, or preferably “stumbled”, back to wherever they came from.

“Dallas, are you okay?!” You breathed out as your hand subconsciously placed itself on his cheek. He cringed, but soon relaxed at your touch. “Don’t you worry ‘bout a thing, dollface. I’m fine. Are you okay? You’re more important, right now.” He said, his fingers wiping away all your tears. You just nodded, not able to speak.

“God, this date is ruined! I try so hard for one girl and this is what I get.” He growled, kicking down the nearest trash can. You just chuckled to yourself, shaking your head as you walked closer to him.

“Dallas Winston, our date was just ‘ruined’, I get it.” You giggled, holding his hand. “But, that means we’ll just have to go on another one.” You winked. Right when you spoke those words, his head snapped up in shock. He searched your face for any sign of lies, but he soon laughed; it wasn’t a chuckle, it was a heartfelt laugh. It was a true laugh.

“You dig okay, Y/N. You dig okay.” He smiled at you, kissing your cheek and walking you back home with his arms wrapped around your waist.
