Preference #5: You both find a stray dog (Part 1).
  • Dally: You were both walking around the neighborhood, when all of a sudden you hear small taps on the pavement behind you. You turned to Dally, and looked at him to notice that he heard it too. "What was that?" You asked him. "I don't know, doll. Let's just keep walkin'." He told you. You shrugged it off and continued walking with him until you heard a small bark. You turned to see a small German Shepherd following you, his tail wagging and his tongue out. "Oh my goodness! It's a puppy! Dally, can we keep him?" You squealed, looking at him with wide eyes. He instantly shook his head. "No." He said. "Why not?!" You whimpered. "I don't like animals." He said, lighting up a cigarette. "Well, I don't care. We're keeping him." You smiled at him, then at the dog. "I'm going to name him 'Dally Jr.'." You giggled, knowing that you were getting on Dally's nerves. Dally wanted to get rid of the dog, but let's just say that he had his moments where he didn't even let you get near the dog; he fell in love in a matter of a week.
  • Two-Bit: You two were playing around in the backyard, until Two-Bit points something out in the distance. "Look, Y/N! It's a puppy! Can we keep her?!" He said, looking like a little kid walking for the first time in Disneyland. "I don't know, Two. I mean, what time do we have for taking care of a dog. I'll admit she's adorable, but what'll we do?" You asked him, unsure of where this is going. He just ignored you, and carried the Golden Retriever puppy into the house. "I think I'm goin' to name you 'Minnie'. You like that?" You heard him say in a baby voice, and you couldn't help but chuckle at him. You heard a tiny 'woof' from Minnie and a laugh from Two-Bit, and you knew that this dog stole his heart already.
  • Steve: You two were in a fight a couple of days ago, so you were mad at him and he was now trying to get you back. You kept ignoring him though, until one night you heard a knock on your door. You finally had enough, so you opened the door and found a Cocker Spaniel at your doorstep. You looked for a tag on the dog's neck, only to find nothing. "Her name's Daisy. I knew you always wanted a dog. I'm real sorry, babe. I love you." You heard Steve tell you. You just smiled at him, picked up Daisy, and kissed Steve. "I love you." You told him. "Love you more." He whispered.

Preference #4: They find out you were abused.
  • Dally: "I-I need to tell you somethin'." You told him nervously. "Sure, doll." He kissed your cheek. "Well, I never told anyone this. A while before I broke up with my ex, he used his switchblade on me." You told him, revealing the huge scar still on your thigh. He just looked at you for a few seconds before standing up and storming out the door. "Where are you goin'?! Are you goin' to leave me?" You sobbed, was he seriously going to leave you for something that wasn't your fault? He stopped in his tracks and turned back to you in shock. "Babe, no way will I ever leave you! I'm goin' to find that jerk and make him regret even thinking 'bout you." He growled. He took out his heater and jumped into his car, speeding off to do some damage.
  • Sodapop: Your parents abused you for a while now, but you always hid your bruises. You were invited to Sodapop's house, and you wore a long sleeve shirt and shorts, since your arms were bruised. "Hey, beautiful!" Soda hugged you, not giving you room to move your arms. You struggled, which only hurt. You tried to hide your pain, but Soda noticed. "You okay?" He asked you, letting you go. You nodded, and sent a fake smile his way. "I'm fine! Hey, let's go inside." You said, grabbing his hand. He took that to his advantage, and lifted up your sleeves. "Who did this?" He hissed, looking at the bruises. "Soda, I ca-" "Who?! Why?!" He raised his voice. "My parents." You whimpered. "You're staying here. No exceptions." He looked down at you. Then, he just held you, and you felt some tears hit the top of your head.
  • Johnny: "Baby doll, why didn't you tell me sooner?" He whispered, shocked at what he just heard. You just told him that a long time ago, your ex-boyfriend took advantage of you. "Yeah, it's true. I had to go through major therapy, and it was just so horrible! Oh God, Johnny; what if I see him again?!" You cried, desperate for his arms to be around you. He hugged you instantly. "Babe, he won't touch you ever again. I promise you. And if he ever does, I won't hesitate to hurt him. And you also know that you have the whole gang with you." He said, gently pushing his forehead against yours.
  • Darry: "Darry, please, don't." You pleaded. He was in a rage, going to look for the guy who hurt the love of his life. "Why not, Y/N? Why shouldn't I find the guy who hurt you like that?" He yelled, slipping on his shoes and jacket. "Don't stoop down to a level that you won't pass! Ever!" You warned. He stopped moving, and looked at you. "Honey, you know I won't do anythin' to hurt you, but please let me teach this guy a lesson on how to treat the most perfect woman ever." He said, leaving the house.
  • Ponyboy: "He did what?" He squeaked, looking at you with big eyes. You nodded sadly. "Yeah, he did. He hit me." You whispered. He seemed to be thinking something over in his mind, and he seemed to come up with something. "I'm stayin' at your house tonight. If anythin' happens, we run from there. We just run. You'll stay here. Darry and Soda will understand." He stated.
  • Steve: "I'll kill him." He growled, cleaning the oil off of his face at the DX. You ran all the way to Steve to tell him about what just happened; your ex-boyfriend kissed you and grabbed you in places you didn't want to be grabbed. "Okay, Steve, I know you're angry. I get it. But let's not do anythin' that can potentially put you in trouble." You warned, but he didn't seem to listen. "So, do you want me to kill him now or later?" He asked, ignoring your previous statement.
  • Two-Bit: "Two-Bit, calm down!" You yelled. You told him what the bullies at school did, and he freaked out. "Baby, I ain't calmin' down!" He said. "This isn't that serious, Two. You don't have to be missin' Mickey Mouse and cake at Darry's for somethin' that happened last year." He just looked at you in shock. "You mean this happened a long time ago and you didn't even tell me?!" He shrieked. You shook your head at him. "Two, we didn't even know each other when it happened!" You chuckled at him. "I don't get why you're laughin'. I don't care if you were a total stranger, I still would've helped you. You're special, and I remember basically drooling the first time I saw you." He grumbled, causing you to blush.

To my lovely followers!

Firstly, thank you all so much for following, requesting, and complimenting my work! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I truly feel like you all love my work, and that makes me feel so happy. :)

Secondly, the only time I’ll be able to post anything this week is tomorrow and maybe Sunday. Right now I’m studying for a huge Science test, so I won’t be able to write much. Sad, right? :(

(The cool thing is that I’m going to Disney this weekend!)

I promise to post tomorrow! <3

Preference #3: You're sick.
  • Darry: He would literally stop everything he was doing and stay by your side. Whatever you needed, he would be there for you. Sometimes, he wouldn't even let the gang come around so they wouldn't get sick. You loved how he would take so much care of you, yet make sure that the gang stays healthy.
  • Two-Bit: He would cuddle with you and watch Mickey Mouse re-runs. He had medicine on the nightstand, so if you needed anything, it would be right there for you. But, he never would forget to crack a joke or two just to make you smile.
  • Johnny: He was always like a little lost puppy, so when he realized how sick you were, he kind of freaked out. Well, 'freaked out' was a huge understatement. He basically went crazy making sure that you had everything you needed, whether it be medicine, tissues, or just a pillow. He needed to make sure that his princess was okay.
  • Dally: He never really was a big softy, but around you, he would do anything for you. He would even bring you whatever you needed. If you ever needed more medicine, he would go to the store, but he would still buy himself a pack of cancer sticks. He would get stressed from taking care of you and making sure that you were better every single day.
  • Ponyboy: You got to school one morning, but you weren't feeling well. Your boyfriend, Ponyboy, noticed though. He put his hand on your forehead, and instantly became overprotective of you. He took you to the office, making sure that you were okay, and stayed there while you had your temperature taken. You had a high fever, and Ponyboy just sighed. "Well, at least I'm goin' to take care of you." He smiled at you.
  • Sodapop: He would always try to kiss you. Always. He would always look for the opportunity to hold your hand, cuddle with you, or even just be within a foot of you. You would always push him away since you didn't want him to get sick. Also, you weren't in the mood to cuddle. You just wanted to get better, so you could spend time with your family, the gang, and Soda. Sadly for him, he never figured out how to get that kiss from you.
  • Steve: He would just sit there, not knowing what to do to take care of you. You asked him for a piece of chocolate cake, but he refused to get it for you. "No, you're not eatin' cake, you're sick! You need soup and medicine!" He grinned at you, while getting up to get you what you needed. "But I'm not even that sick." You whined. He shushed you, before continuing. "Well, I don't need you to get worse, babe." He said, handing you some pills.

Preference #2: First fight (Part 2).
  • Ponyboy: You and Ponyboy were planning a date at the movies, and you wanted to watch a movie that most people would call a "chick-flick". "C'mon, let's watch it. It'll be really nice!" You insisted, trying to get him to say yes. "No! Let's watch that new scary movie!" He whined. You rolled your eyes at him. "There's goin' to be too much blood! I don't want to get scared." You said, shaking your head. He just scoffed at you. "Wow, you're such a priss." He mumbled, but it was loud enough for you to hear. You just looked at him surprised. "Really, Pony? I'm sorry that I don't feel like cryin' my eyes out." You said, angry with him. "Fine, I'll go watch it with the gang instead." He smirked, knowing that you were riled up and walked out. The next night, you didn't feel like going anywhere since your plans were all messed up. You were dressed in your pajamas, and you were just moping around. You were about to drift off to sleep until you heard something hitting your window. You saw pebbles being thrown. You ran to the window, careful to not get hit, and saw Pony smiling up at you. "Well, what are you waiting for?! Let's get to the movies! I brought tissues!" He laughed.
  • Steve: You weren't able to see Steve at one of his races, since your shift ran late at the last minute. You got home, only to find Steve drinking a beer and looking angry. "Hey, I'm sorr-" You started, but Steve interrupted. "Sorry don't cut it!" He grumbled. "My shift ran late, don't blame me! I wanted to come and watch but I couldn't. I'll go next time." You said. "Well, how do I know that you're not cheatin' on me?" He whispered. You almost dropped everything you had in your hands. "Are you serious, Steve?! Okay, I'm done with you. I'm goin' to bed. Have a good night, I guess." You ran up to the room, not bothering to change into pajamas. You woke up the next day to find somebody's arms wrapped around you. You tossed and turned to see Steve still sleeping. You leaned in and left a kiss on his nose. He stirred and woke up. He saw you looking at him and frowned. "I'm sorry." He said. "It's okay. I love you." You whispered as you snuggled into him.
  • Sodapop: He was working extra hours at the DX causing him to come home a little late, but you were furious with him. It was your one year anniversary, why did he have to work longer now?! He walked into the house with the biggest smile on his face, and your face just showed the exact opposite of happiness. "What's wrong, baby?" He frowned, trying to kiss you but failing when you dodged him. "Do you know what day it is, Soda?" You asked him, faking sweetness. He thought for a moment, and you were about to explode. "Uh, it's Friday?" He asked, clueless with what you were asking. Your eyes widened and you were probably going to strangle him if you didn't control yourself. "No. Guess again!" You mockingly laughed at him. "Uh, it's trash day?" He laughed nervously. You just shook your head and pushed past him up the stairs. "What's the big deal, then?" He yelled at you. "Well, for starters; happy anniversary, Sodapop Curtis!" You cried, shutting the door to your room. You left your room a few hours later to find a trail of rose petals starting from your room all the way down the hall. You followed it, of course, only to find Soda holding a silver necklace in his hands and candles everywhere. "Wh-what's all this for?" You said, breathless. "For you. Happy anniversary, Y/N." He smiled at you.
  • Darry: You were upset with him, since he's been really moody lately. You didn't know why, but you were going to find out no matter what. "Hey Darry!" You smiled at him, hoping to see that he was in a good mood today. "Hey." He said. "What's wrong? You've been down lately. Can I hel-" "No! Just stop talkin'." He groaned. You finally had enough of this. You knew that you didn't deserve this. "You know what, Darry? I just try to help you out whenever I can, and this is the thanks I get! I'm done." You cried, standing up from the couch until he stopped you. "Y/N, I'm sorry. It's just that my boss has been threatenin' me lately sayin' that he was goin' to fire me. I've been really stressed lately, and I'm sorry that I've been treatin' you horribly these days. Forgive me?" He explained, staring at you with his beautiful eyes. You thought about it for a moment, and then sat back down. "You're lucky I love you!" You exclaimed as he tackled you with kisses.

Preference #2: First fight (Part 1).
  • *A/N: This is split into two parts, so some boys will be written about in this post, then the rest in another!!! xo - Sophie*
  • Johnny: You weren't really angry at Johnny, you were afraid of what would happen if he went to the next rumble. "C'mon, why won't you let me go?" He whined. "It's not that I won't let you go, it's just that I don't want you to go! I don't want you to get hurt like last time!" You were on the verge of screaming. "That's not fair, though! All the other guys are goin'! Even Ponyboy!" He hissed. You could tell that he was about to break and yell. "This isn't about Ponyboy, okay? This is about you! I don't want you to end up possibly dead, why can't you see that?!" You screamed. "You know what?! I don't even need a little girl's 'permission'. I'm out of here." He scoffed, meanwhile leaving you alone in your house. The next night, you were worried sick about him; the rumble was about to end soon and you hoped he was okay. Soon enough, you heard a knock on the door. You opened the door, and found Johnny. His arm was bleeding and he had some bruises forming. But, you noticed that he was holding a bouquet of roses behind his back. "I'm so-" He started, before you interrupted. "I know. You don't need to say anything." You smiled at him, bringing him inside to help him get healed.
  • Two-Bit: He stumbled into your house, obviously drunk. You rolled your eyes at him. He was so lucky your folks weren't home to see him like this. "Two-Bit, why do you get so drunk all the time. I would like to see you actually sober for once." You squeaked, scared of his reaction. You knew how people were when they were drunk and angry. Not a good combo. He stopped moving, and faced you. "You want to run that by me again?" He threatened, reeking of liquor. You finally had enough of this. "You know what, I will run that by you again! Get sober or get out!" You hissed at him. You saw a flash of regret in his eyes, but it was quickly covered by anger. "Fine." He grumbled, slamming the front door as he left. You shook your head at first; it was always like this. You fought, then made up like nothing happened. The next morning, you woke up to find a big teddy bear sitting by your bed. It was holding a heart that said 'I'm sorry'. You instantly knew who it was from, but how did it get here? You shook the thought off. "I really am sorry, babe." You heard somebody whisper from your room's door. You saw Two-Bit standing there. You smiled at him. "Get over here, you big lug." You giggled at him as he ran to jump onto your bed, tackling you in the biggest hug ever.
  • Dallas: You glared at him from across Buck's place. Why did he seriously have to check out every girl that walked through the front door? Your relationship has been kind of rocky, but you just thought of it as going through a rough patch. You noticed that he kept getting turned down by girls, and you inwardly smiled. He walked over to you, seeming disappointed. He smiled at you, but you just glared at him. "What's wrong, baby?" He pouted, wrapping his arms around you. You scoffed at him, and shook his arms off of you. "Maybe I would feel a lot better if you kept your eyes in your sockets, kept your little friend in your pants, and maybe spent a little more time with your girlfriend instead of other girls." You mockingly laughed. He instantly froze, and his eyes froze over too with anger. "Can we not talk about this now? Especially here, of all places." He trailed off. "Then when are we goin' to talk about it? When you find another girl prettier than me?!" You almost broke out into tears. His eyes softened, realizing what you were so angry about. "Babe, I love you and only you. Don't feel so insecure. It's these hormones that get me all out of whack. I love you so much, and nobody here is as perfect as you. Well, except for me." He smirked. You just laughed softly. "Yeah right." You whispered, before leaning in to kiss him.

Blood for Blood - Chapter 2

                “So, what is there to do here in Tulsa?” I heard Rena ask Pony while we were walking to the Dingo.

                “Well, it’s a pleasant place to live if you don’t want to do much. But if you want do somethin’ fun, there’s not much to do ‘ere except for the movie house, drive-in, or a few hangouts on this side of town.” He explained to us. Johnny nodded in agreement.

                “Just need to be careful ‘bout who you stumble on.” Johnny whispered. I looked at Jewel, who was next to me, confused; what did he mean by “who you stumble on”?

                “I’m sorry?” Jack asked him. “Yeah, what do you mean by that?” Ryan asked him. “Well, there’s this ‘divide’, if that’s how you’d say it, ‘ere in Tulsa. Johnny can explain the rest; I’m not gettin’ all riled up for nothin’.” Pony started.

“Okay, there are three groups, b-basically; there are the kids known as ‘Socs’, short for ‘socials’. They’re just rich kids who depend on their parents’ money and act like they own the place.” Johnny’s statement kind of made me shift on my feet; the gang and I just got here on Ryan and Jack’s inheritance, if you would even call it that. Does that make us Socs? I shook that thought off and listened to Johnny.

“Then, there’s the middle class. Nothin’ wrong with ‘em though, it’s as if they’re just there, y’know? They’re all lucky stiffs. It’s all as if they’re on the sidelines watchin’ a game.” Johnny continued, becoming sure of himself around us. That was a good thing; he didn’t really need to be scared of us.

“And then there’s us. Greasers.” Ponyboy finished, he seemed to have blown off some steam. “Why’re you guys called that?” I asked them. “‘Cause we slick our hair back with gel; people just call the gel ‘grease’.” Johnny said. I nodded in response; at least it wasn’t a tragic reason like ours.

Minutes passed, and we were still walking. Pony must have read our minds, since he assured us that we were almost there. We were all having fun; we were joking around, taking in the mediocre scenery, and enjoying each other’s company, until a fancy-looking car started to follow us. I saw that Pony and Johnny stiffened a little, and I looked back to the car only to see four guys dressed in varsity jackets hop out.

“Hey, should we be runnin’ right now?!” Jewel whispered, noticing the same thing I did. “No, don’t run just yet.” Jack hissed. “If they want a good fight, then we’ll give ‘em a great fight.” I said. “You sure?” Rena asked, knowing that this wasn’t going to be the best idea. “I don’t want to get hurt just yet.” Ryan said, seeing that the guys were walking behind us, yet gaining on us.

“Just keep walking.” I told them all, trying to keep my nerves hidden. “We’re almost there, right Johnnycake?” Pony nudged Johnny, but he looked pale and scared out of his wits. We hustled to a building with a big sign that read “The Dingo”. It was really full, so I guess that this place must be really good or something. We were about to reach for the door when a hand slammed onto the door.

“And where do you think you’re goin’? I haven’t seen you around here.” I heard a gruff voice muse. “Get out of ‘ere, Paul! You’re on our side o’ town and you know it!” I heard Pony yell.

“Get your hands away from her while you’re at it.” I heard Ryan growl. If our looks could kill, this Paul guy and each of his gang would definitely be dead ten times over. I looked up at this Paul guy; he was pretty cute, but he was a total jerk. He also seemed to be a few years older than me, so I wasn’t going to be interested any time soon.

I looked inside of the Dingo, and saw that everybody inside had paused their conversations to see what was going on outside. That’s when I looked down; I didn’t really like when all of the attention was put towards me.

“Johnny, go inside and get help.” I heard Rena whisper to him. “Not so fast!” One of Paul’s morons laughed and grabbed Johnny by his collar, and I saw that Jewel was cowering into Ryan’s side. “Let go of him!” I heard Jack yell as he pulled out his switchblade.

I noticed that Paul was distracted by what was going on around us, so I reached into my pocket for my switchblade and took the chance of targeting Paul’s hand. “Ow! Why you little b-” He started to cuss at me, not after raising his hand to hit me. I shut my eyes and waited for the impact, forgetting that I had a weapon and my friends with me, but the impact never came. I opened one eye and saw a large hand holding Paul’s wrist. I followed the arm that the unknown hand belonged to, and saw a tall guy with icy dark-brown eyes, brown hair with no hair gel, and a cancer stick in his mouth. Needless to say, he was gorgeous; and my sisters seemed to notice that too, but I guess they backed off because he looked a lot like a no-good hood.

“Don’t even try, alrigh’?” The mystery guy said coolly, with a heavy New York accent that may or may not have killed me inside. I looked behind this guy to see Johnny and four other guys behind him. Paul and his friends seemed to falter, but somehow kept cool. Honestly, if I was Paul and I saw who Johnny and Pony hung out with, I would have been peeing my pants before running back home to Miami.

Paul and his morons just turned around and jogged back to the car. “I swear to God almighty, if you don’t leave me and my gang alone, you’ll be sorry. Get lost!” I yelled at them. I turned back to see the mystery boy looking at me with a smirk.

“You don’t seem that tough.” He chuckled. I looked at him like he just insulted all I believed in. “You want to run that by me again?” I threatened, a little amused but offended by his attitude.

“Spike, it’s okay. Don’t listen to him.” Johnny chuckled. “Yeah, trust me. Don’t bother.” Pony smiled, along with the others that stood with Johnny.

                “Well, I do-” I started, obviously mad with the nerve of these kids, especially after this whole episode. “Spike, don’t.” Jewel squeaked. “Oh no, here we go.” Rena groaned. “I swear to God; Spike, if we end up with broken bones, I will kill you.” Ryan said. “This is going to be fun.” I heard Jack chuckle to Johnny.

                “I’m Dally. Now, what’s a pretty girl like you doin’ with a tough nickname and a bad attitude like that?” This guy said, putting his arm around me. I promise you, if he gets any closer, I will faint. I noticed that my gang looked at me with a knowing smirk; it was always one that read: “You so like him!”. I glared at them all, unhappy that they were making it obvious.

                “I got that nickname for a reason; sometimes, I think people wouldn’t want to know that reason.” I smiled fakely. "I only have this bad attitude when pretentious jerks like you are around. Wait, do you know what ‘pretentious’ even means? I didn’t think so. Not so tough now, huh?” I continued, getting his arm off of me. He looked shocked, but his expression was soon covered up once again with an icy glare.

I heard a chorus of laughter from my gang, Johnny, Pony, and their friends. I walked over to Ponyboy and Johnny and hugged both of them.

                “Thanks for giving us a tour, or at least a little tour. Want to hang out tomorrow?” I asked them both, eager to see them again.

                “Yeah, that would be great!” Johnny smiled. “Cool! Can we meet here tomorrow, at 12 o'clock sharp?” I heard Ryan ask us.

“I’m down for anything.” Rena answered. “That’d be cool.” Jewel piped up as Jack nodded.

“We’ll join you guys!” I turned around to see one of Pony’s friends say. He had a Mickey Mouse shirt on, and he had a grin that never seemed to leave his face. All of the other guys seemed to agree, except for Dally

“You bozos are really goin’ to hang out with this nobody?” Dally asked, obviously shocked that some other gang seemed all high-and-mighty for once.

“Well, you know what they say; it takes a nobody to know a nobody.” I smiled at him cheekily as my gang and I started to walk away. When I turned away from Dally, I knew my face heated up instantly. How much longer was I willing to keep this tough façade up? Who knew. Was I going to fall for Dally soon enough? Maybe.

Did I know that I was getting myself into the biggest adventure of a lifetime?

Nope.

You and Sodapop get into a fight, and he ends up hurt.

“I can’t believe this! You seriously saw her last night?!” You screamed at your boyfriend; well, now ex-boyfriend. You two were planning on going out to the Dingo last night, until he was “sick”. He wasn’t really sick; he apparently faked it and went to see Sandy, who you thought moved away for horrid reasons.

“I don’t get what the deal is! She wanted to talk to me, it’s not like we kissed or anythin’!” Soda yelled back at you. Was he really being serious right now?

“Are you kiddin’ me, Soda? It’s a big deal because not only did you ditch me and lie to me, but you went and saw your ex-girlfriend who apparently was in Florida with a baby that wasn’t yours! Do I seriously have to remind you of why you two broke up?!” You responded, tears threatening to fall.

Soda just looked at you like you stabbed him and just left him all alone to die. “Don’t you dare bring that up ever again.” He hissed, gritting his teeth.

You scoffed. “Well, I just did since you obviously needed to be reminded! Lyin’ to me obviously wasn’t enough for you. You know what? I think you should just get out. Leave. We’re done.” You sobbed, removing the promise ring that he managed to buy for you on Valentine’s Day. You threw the ring at him, and motioned to the door.

“B-babe, don’t be like tha-” He started, desperate for you to calm down so you  both can work this out.

“I have to! Don’t you understand? If I can’t trust you, then what should we do with this relationship? Get out!” You pushed him towards the door with all of the strength in you, not forgetting to slam the door in his face.

You heard him kick one of the posts on the porch, and try to keep in a sob as he ran to his car and put the key in ignition. You couldn’t help but lean on the wall and slide down, burying your head in your knees. Why did this all have to happen? Why was there so much drama?

Why did it all have to involve you?

All the crying made you tired; you were sitting against the wall for about an hour, mentally cursing yourself for all that happened. You were slowly falling asleep, until the phone rang.

You made your way hastily to the phone, anger still running in your system. “Hello?” You answered gruffly. “Is this Ms. Y/L/N?” A woman’s voice asked. “This is she.” You replied. What happened and why did they ask for you?

“I’m sorry, but I think you should make your way to the hospital immediately. A patient named ‘Sodapop Curtis’ is askin’ for you.” The woman advised. Those words were enough to crumble down and weigh horror on your shoulders.

You didn’t even manage to hang up the phone; you just grabbed your jacket, slid on your shoes, snatched your car keys, and drove off to the local hospital. Nearly missing a few stop signs and other cars, you made it in ten minutes tops. You hopped out of the car and ran inside. “Where’s Sodapop Curtis?!” You yelled to the lady at the front desk.

“Are you Ms. Y/L/N?” She asked you, debating on whether or not she should release that information. “Yes I am, now talk.” You threatened. “Room 109.” The lady responded; you didn’t even acknowledge her, you just ran.

You finally made it to the room, but hesitated once you made it to the door. Your breathing hitched; should you go inside or not? You shook the thought out of your head; you needed to know what happened. You needed to know if you were the reason.

You slowly opened the door to find Soda lying down. He had a cast on his left leg, and some gauze wrapped around his right hand. “Oh, Soda.” You gasped, making your way to his bedside. “Y/N? What’re you doin’ ‘ere?” He asked you, seeming genuinely shocked. You rolled your eyes.

“It’s not every day that you get a call at 11:00 at night sayin’ that the person you love most is in the hospital. What the heck happened? Were you wearing your seatbelt?! I swear, if you weren’t we-” You demanded, until Soda interrupted you.

“I was so angry that I wasn’t payin’ attention to the road.” He said. He seemed to hesitate, but he continued. “I’m sorry, Y/N. I shouldn’t have gone to see Sandy. But you know that I would never do anythin’ with ‘er!” He started, but you shut him up by kissing him.

“Hey, don’t worry about it. I was angry for no reason. I should’ve known that you wouldn’t do anythin’. But I swear to the Lord almighty, if I ever see her again, I will hurt her.” You giggled. He just grinned at you and got something from the nightstand next to the bed. You recognized it as the promise ring you threw at him earlier out of anger. He just got it, brushed it off, and put it on your finger. That surely shut you up, because you knew that now you were both alright.

February 2013

Preference #1: They get jealous/over-protective.
  • Two-Bit: Whenever he sees a boy look at you too closely, all he needs to do is pull out his trusty switchblade and yell "Get lost!" to scare them away. Then, he would just look at you and give a cheesy grin. Sometimes he didn't need to scare them off, but you thought it was really sweet of him!
  • Johnny: Ever since he got jumped, he's been extremely nervous. You always calmed him down, but whenever he saw a Soc looking at you the wrong way or treating you badly, he held your hand tight and just told you to ignore them. You were his princess, forever and always.
  • Sodapop: You would visit him every week at the DX and you two would just hang out, have fun, and talk all at the same time. You had a great time until Soda went to the bathroom, then a guy came to the station because his car had a flat tire. He was flirting with you, until he saw Soda get out of the bathroom and glare at him. Even though Soda was a nice guy, nobody could talk to his girl like that without any consequences.
  • Dally: You were at one of Buck's parties with Dally and the gang, when you felt a hand touch your butt. You turned around in shock, about to yell at the pervert who did that, but you saw that Dally was already taking care of it; and that meant that the pervert wouldn't get out of this fight without a broken arm.
  • Darry: People instantly saw Darry as an intimidating guy, even though in reality, he was a big ol' teddy bear. That just resulted in guys barely hitting on you, but people wanted to hit his weak spot, and Darry's weak spot would get hit if anybody ever hurt you. You two were just walking home from the Dingo, when you noticed a car following you both. Whenever this happened, Darry would tell you to run home and that he would take care of everything.
  • Steve: He was all muscles, so he would fight and easily win. You and the gang went to go watch him and Soda race one night. You had a great time, until Paul Holden winked at you. You ignored him though, sticking close to the gang. The race ended, and you were making your way towards Steve, until somebody stopped you. You turned to see Paul smirking at you; he was about to say something until Steve punched him out of nowhere and started a fight. You sighed; you were tired of the same fights every other night, but you knew he was only trying to protect you.
  • Ponyboy: You two met on the first day of school, so you were obviously "fresh meat", as they would say. He would walk you to your classes, and make sure that no bullies started any trouble with you. No way would he let anybody try to hurt you or get you in trouble, and you loved him for that.

Ponyboy gets drafted. (Part Two.)

Five years passed, 500 letters were sent and replied to, but it felt like infinity without Ponyboy Curtis by your side. You waited for him every single day to walk through that door and yell “I’m home!”, but it never happened soon enough. You still visited the Curtis brothers and the rest of the gang, but it was never the same without him. Soda went to Vietnam three years instead of five like Pony, and now without Dally and Johnny here, it was never the same. You always asked Darry if there were any updates on Pony, but he always responded with a sigh; that definitely and sadly meant “no”.

But one day, things were totally different. The gang was sitting on the porch, but they didn’t talk to you; they didn’t even say hello.

“Hey, guys.” You breathed out, walking onto the Curtis’ porch to do your daily visit. They said nothing, absorbed into their own little worlds to even acknowledge you. “Hello?” You asked again, wondering if maybe they had the decency to talk to you. But, there was no response.

You were a little upset though, because you didn’t know if you did anything to make them ignore you on purpose. You shook it off though; they would come around soon enough. “Alright, since you all want to be jerks and not talk to me, I’ll just get a piece of chocolate cake and go on my way.” You huffed, making your way into the unlocked home.

The minute you walked in, you noticed a large shadow out of the corner of your eye. You turned around frantically, noticing the boys were still outside and you were the only one indoors. You chuckled silently, and walked over to the kitchen. “Stupid hallucinations, always gettin’ the best o’ me.” You huffed. The boys walked in together soon enough, and sat down on the couches, staring at you. You walked over to them and gave them a piece of your mind.

“Guys, why’re you starin’. I’m kind of mad at you all for ignorin’ me; this ain’t helpin’!” You snapped at them with your hands on your hips. You glared until a voice sounded from behind you.

“I could see why they’re starin’. You’ve become even more beautiful since the last time I saw you.” The voice said. You dropped everything, gasped, and turned around fast enough to give you whiplash. Even though the voice was way deeper than you remembered, you could still identify that voice anywhere.

“Ponyboy!” You yelled, then crashing your lips onto his. Five years without him with you; five years since you’ve been this close to him. He’s gotten taller, and his hair darker. It still had the signature grease, and his eyes seemed tired. The boys cheered and whooped in the meanwhile of you and Ponyboy reuniting. You both pulled away and just held each other in your arms, your tears cascading down your cheeks like diamonds; even Ponyboy was crying, and he usually didn’t cry that much.

“I love you Pony. I’m so glad you’re back.” You smiled as you looked into your eyes.

“I’m goin’ to stay, Y/N. I’m done there. I ain’t goin’ back. I ain’t leavin’.” He smiled back at you, sneaking one more kiss onto your lips. You finally felt at peace again, he was back in your arms for good.

Ponyboy gets drafted. (Part One.)

                “Why are you leavin’?! You always leave!” You screamed at the boy in front of you. “Give me a good reason why.” You whispered after a few moments. “I got drafted, Y/N. I’m goin’ to Vietnam in a week.” The boy whispered back to you.

~~~
You woke up with a jolt. You’ve been having the same dream for at least three days straight now. You couldn’t tell who the boy was in the dream, and that scared you most. Was it your best friend, Johnny Cade? Or even worse; was it your boyfriend of eight months, Ponyboy Curtis? You were breathing hard as your brain went crazy trying to figure out who it was.
“Y/N, you okay? Had a bad dream or somethin’?” You heard Ponyboy mumble; you felt bad instantly, you woke him up again. “It’s nothin’, babe. Go back to sleep.” You assured him with a weak smile.
He gave you a face that basically screamed “You ain’t foolin’ me this time!”, and you just shrugged your shoulders at him. What could you tell him? You’ve been having dreams of a mystery boy that you seemed to love dearly? He wouldn’t be too happy to hear that.
“You’re not goin’ back to sleep ‘til you tell me. So get to it.” He said, propping himself on his elbow to face you. You breathed deeply; here it went.
“Pony, would you ever leave me? Like, not in the sense of breakin’ up with me, but, leaving?” You asked him. He bit his lip and broke eye contact with you; you were shocked, because you knew that he did that when he was nervous. Other than stuttering.  Which he did. A lot.
“I’d ne-never leave you, Y/N.” He stuttered. “Well, why’re you stutterin’?!” You squeaked at him. “I don’t know what you’re talkin’ ‘bout.” He said, not stuttering but letting his voice go up a few octaves; something he also did when nervous.
“Then stop makin’ it so darn obvious that you are!” You raised your voice at him and stood up from the bed; you were getting mad at him and he knew it. “You’re always accusin’ me of somethin’; it ain’t my fault I have to leave!” He yelled; but his eyes widened as soon as he realized what he said.
“W-what?! What do you mean by ‘have to leave’?! Why are you leavin’? You always leave!” You screamed at Pony. A few moments of silence and stares passed, so you spoke again. “Give me a good reason why.” You whispered.
“I got drafted, Y/N. I’m goin’ to Vietnam in a week.” Ponyboy whispered back to you.
A/N: I’m thinking about splitting this into two parts! I’ll post the second part tomorrow. I loved writing this even thOUGH IT KIND OF CRUSHED MY HEART.
Actually, I was considering a co-owner once I get many requests and it gets to the point where I can’t write as much as I want to!
I think I’ll hold some sort of contest or something to see who would be a good co-owner.
But if you come off of anon so I know who you are, I can consider you soon enough; thank you so much for the offer!!! :)
Blood for Blood - Chapter 1
“Really, Spike? Did you really have to put us five through that crap again? We’re tryin’ hard to keep a good rep.” My eldest sister, Rena, scolded me as we ran away from the cops.
 “Don’t yell at her, okay?” My second oldest sister, Jewel, panted.
“We needed some action now that we moved yesterday from Miami all the way here t’ Tulsa.” My best friend Ryan defended me, speeding past Rena.
“Yeah, we all need some adrenaline. Anyway, since when did we ever have a good rep?” Jack, the second-eldest member of our gang, laughed as he sped past us and ended up being in the front.
“We need to make a name for ourselves now. Just to show that we do whatever we want; if it means we’re hoods, then fine.” I growled as I ran fast.
I guess I should introduce myself. I’m Sophia Arianna James, but my friends call me “Spike”. Call me by my real name and I’ll skin you. I’m seventeen years old, but I have the maturity of a five year old and the mind of a twenty year old. I have long, thick, shiny dark-brown hair cut into layers which end right at my waist. I have brown eyes, almost black; I got those from my mother. I’m pretty tall, too: last time I checked, I was 5'6 — I think. Maybe I’m over-exaggerating, who knows?
Speaking of my sisters, you might remember that I have two of them: Rena and Jewel. Rena is the oldest, clocking in at twenty-three years old. Jewel is the second oldest; she’s nineteen. Rena and Jewel look pretty much identical with their bright hazel eyes, from our dad, and then there’s me.
Then there’s Ryan and Jack; they have no relation to us whatsoever, but we’re extremely close. They’re both cousins; Jack is 21 and Ryan is 20. Jack has short black hair that’s slicked back, and Ryan has brown hair with the same style. We’ve known each other basically forever, and we’re in a gang together. Back home, we’re called the Ashers. You know, like there’s a name for a gang? Yessir, that’s ours, because back home, we lived close to a lot of trees. A lot of trees means fires, and fires mean ashes.
Speaking of a fire, that’s sadly the reason why we moved all the way to Tulsa. While the five of us were too busy in a rumble, which we proudly and easily won, there were fires in Jack and Ryan’s house. Ryan was living with Jack because his dad ran out on him and his mom died in a fire a few years back. Jack’s parents passed in the most recent fire, and we all held a funeral inviting only close friends and family. The twist was that in the will, they left the cars and all the money to the boys. We used it with the permission of my parents, and left Miami with money, clothes, and the best intentions.
“Hurry up, Ryan! Stop slackin’ and run!” Jewel yelled at him. I mean, seriously, we did not need to get myself in jail faster for his lack of speed. Then again, we all should’ve known that he would slack since he tried out for the cross-country team few years back; he fainted a few seconds into tryouts, no biggie.
“Everybody, turn this corner or you’ll end up in the slammer!” I commanded over the loud sirens. What was so bad about us being there when Jack temporarily borrowed a car from the drive-in? Nobody was in there, anyway. We were going to give the car back when we didn’t think it was too hot of a car anymore.
We turned the corner, trying to lose the cops. We ran and ran, until the noise of the sirens faded into silence. I leaned onto the wall of the nearest building, Jewel fell onto the floor, Rena and Jack held onto each other for support, and Ryan took off his jean jacket.
“Well, that was fun. Right?” I smiled at them all, only to receive hard stares. “Wow, tough crowd.” I spat.
We all hung out for a few minutes in silence, either waiting for something exciting to happen to us or waiting for Ryan to catch his breath. We kept walking and walking, walking and walking, and we turned another corner. I was the first to turn, and I saw two kids walking down the sidewalk.
I took in their image; they looked like pretty nice boys. One had real dark, slicked-back hair and tan skin. He also had big, brown eyes that pretty much belonged to a lost puppy. The other had brown, almost reddish if you would say, hair slicked back with gel, green eyes, and lighter skin.
I stared for a little longer, until their eyes met with mine then looked behind me. They looked scared out of their wits when they saw us, or whatever was in back of me. I smirked and turned around to tell Jack, only to find him looking at the boys with a switchblade in his hands. Rena noticed so she gasped and slapped Jack.
“Jack! What did I tell you about scarin’ innocent boys out of their own wits?! Give the switchblade up.” Jewel glared at him, causing Ryan to let out a booming laugh. I shook my head at the gang and turned back to the two boys, who looked about ready to run.
“Wait, don’t run! I’m sorry about that idiot, he does that to everybody he meets.” I explained to them, trying to at least get a word out to them. They looked back at me, and I tried to look at them with kind eyes to assure them that we were good, or decent, people.
“Let me introduce myself; I’m Rena.” Rena chimed in. “You can call me Jewel.” Jewel smiled at them.
“Introduce yourself!” I kicked Ryan in the side. “Ow! Do that again, I dare you.“ He glared at me, but turned back to the boys. "My name’s Ryan.”
“I’m Jack. Sorry for giving you guys a heart attack.” Jack cheekily grinned. I rolled my eyes at him; he was so childish.
“Call me Spike. What are your names?” I asked them.
 “He’s Johnny, and I’m Ponyboy. But you can call me Pony.” The lighter-skinned boy said; I could tell that he was more confident than the other boy. All of our eyes widened. “Your name’s Ponyboy?! That’s so cool!” I squealed at him. “Thanks.” He smiled at me and I smiled back. I could tell that we were all going to be good friends.
“Well then, I know we all just met, but d'you think it’s fine if one day you can show us around?” I asked. “We just moved here.” Rena added. “Sure, I don’t see why not. You think the boys would mind?” Johnny asked Ponyboy. “We can always take you lot t’ The Dingo right now if you’d like.” Ponyboy offered, nodding to Johnny. We just looked at these two boys confused; what the heck was “The Dingo”?
“Huh?” Jewel and Jack asked; whenever they were genuinely confused, they surely showed it. I just shrugged it off and focused my attention back to the two boys waiting for our response. “Can you take us to The Dingo, please?” I asked them. “Fine, let’s go!” Ponyboy exclaimed as he and Johnny started running.
“Well, what are y'all waitin’ for, an invite?! C’mon!” I yelled back at the gang as we were speeding off to start a pretty good day.
